Celebrating International Women's Day in ''Syrian'' Kurdistan

Celebrating International Women's Day in ''Syrian'' Kurdistan

First of all: I wish everyone a happy 2714. Happy Kurdish New Year, Happy Newroz to all. 2714 years ago, the Kurdish blacksmith Kawa beheaded the evil Assyrian King and his 2-headed snake. He set the hills on fire to let the people know of their liberation. Since that day, the Kurds celebrate the end of tyranny and the coming of spring. But the struggle for an independent and free Kurdistan is not over yet. The martyrs of our great and ancient nation will not rest until we have accomplished their mission: a free Kurdistan, free from Turkish, Persian, and Arab oppression.

''Syrian'' (West) Kurdistan has been liberated from the brutal Arab dictator Bashar Al-Assad. The Kurds have chased all the Ba'athist rats belonging to Assad's army out of Kurdistan. The Kurdish YPG forces also cleansed Kurdistan from the worms, rats and other filth belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, Al-Nusra and FSA.

The New Kurdish Government in West-Kurdistan declared autonomy and established several Cantons (provinces). They have regained control over the major oilfields of the former ''Syria'', and have established police departments, military camps, traffic police, and a complete new Kurdish-controlled administration.

A week ago, the Kurds celebrated International Women's Day. A celebration which only takes place in Israel, Syrian Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG, ''Iraqi'' Kurdistan) in the Middle-East. The other ethnicities in the Middle-East, such as Persians and Arabs, still deny equal rights for women and women are regularly sentenced to death in Saudi-Arabia and Iran, or killed by their own family members.

Long live the brave male & female fighters of Kurdistan. Long live the Kurdish nation.
