Baghdad-backed war criminal and terrorist Militias Search, Loot Kurdish Houses in Kirkuk

Baghdad-backed  war criminal  and terrorist Militias Search, Loot Kurdish Houses in Kirkuk.

KIRKUK — Baghdad-backed Shi’ite militias of Hashd al-Shaabi, after invading Kirkuk on Monday, have started house-to-house search of the Kurdish population in the city, a security source stated.
“The militias are reported to have been looting jewellers and other valuable belongings from the Kurdish houses,” according to Idris Raf’at, an official from Kirkuk Directorate of Security.
He further explained to BasNews that the Baghdad-appointed governor of Kirkuk and police forces are left with no authorities while the Shi’ite militias, who also enjoy huge support from Tehran, are in full control of the city.
“The looting of civilian properties continues under the pretext of security measures by Hashd al-Shaabi,” Raf’at pointed out, noting that the Kurds are panicked and there is the possibility of huge exodus of the people to escape from the Shi’ite militias.
They have also set up checkpoints on the streets, checking political background and possible affiliation of Kurds to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) or Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), the official said.
He however blamed some PUK elements in the city for accompanying the Hashd al-Shaabi in the atrocities carried out against Kurds in Kirkuk.
