Turkish court rules for continuation of Demirtas’ arrest
A Turkish court ruled for the continuation of HDP’s former co-chair Selahattin Demirtas’ arrest on Friday.

Ankara Criminal Court’s panel of judges ruled for the continuation of Demirtas’ arrest after the Kurdish leader delivered his defense on the court against terrorism charges.
In today’s court session Demirtas completed his defense and the prosecutor of the case demanded the continuation of Demirtaş's arrest.
The judges followed prosecutors request and set the next hearing for April 11, 2018.
Demirtaş is charged with "founding and managing a terrorist organization", "engaging in organization propaganda" and "glorifying crime and criminals".
The suit initially filed in Diyarbakir province had been moved to Ankara 19th Heavy Penal Court for security reasons.
